Metro StepTerms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Metro Step app and services ("Service"), operated by Micael Andrei Diaz de Rivera, an independent developer based in the Philippines ("I", "me", "my"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding agreement. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
2. The Service & your employer
Metro Step is typically offered through your employer or organization. You may join an organization with an invite code, or use the app on your own ("solo"). Your organization's administrators can manage challenges and see anonymized, aggregated statistics — never your individual health data.
3. Not medical advice
Metro Step is a wellness and motivation tool, not a medical device or healthcare service. Step counts, goals, badges and other content are for general wellness only and are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified professional before starting or changing any exercise program. Don't rely on the Service for any medical decision.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or others' data; falsify activity data; harass other users; or use the Service unlawfully or in breach of your organization's policies.
5. Your data
Your use of the Service is also governed by my Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time from You → Account & data.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and content, is owned by me and my licensors. I grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account anytime. I may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to comply with law. Your organization may also remove your access to its data.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. I don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that activity data will be perfectly accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes
I may update these Terms. For material changes I'll notify you in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
